design/build experience.

Initial Consultation
In this meeting we’ll discuss your project feasibility, design concerns, ideas and budgeting. Our first step is listening to your needs and desires for your new project. We will then interpret those ideas into a solution that is creative, functional and
aesthetically pleasing. Kitchen and/or bathroom layouts, cabinet style, basic design elements such as countertops, appliances, flooring, sinks and faucets, walls, architectural details, and your budget & timeline will be discussed.
Our initial consultations are done by appointment only and because the design is unique to you, there is a charge of $250 for customers inside our service area of Northern Virginia. Outside of this area there will be a special quote.
Feasibility Study & Preliminary Design
To get the project on the way and into our construction schedule, we require a design retainer. Your design retainer is applied to the purchase price of products and/or services. At this time a representative from Dee David & Co. will conduct a basic study of the existing space including measurements, initial drawings, checking on code restrictions, and taking snapshots of your current space.
Selections & Final Design
At this point, we will make final cabinetry and product selections, prepare detail costing and refine the design. Detailed construction documents are prepared. Before any work begins on your kitchen or bathroom and we have agreed on a new floor plan and design specifications for the remodel, a contract is signed. The contract specifies pricing for products and services.
We provide you with project drawings including floor plans and elevations that clearly represent your project. If anything changes mid-project, you will be asked to sign a change order form. Rest assured that Dee David and Co. is bonded and insured. We are a proud member of the NKBA and we will coordinate all of your subcontractors for you.
Construction
Once the cabinets and other products are ordered, they take approximately 6-8 weeks to arrive at your home. During the construction phase, a project manager oversees formal and informal communications to ensure that your questions are answered and your project remains on schedule and on budget. Dee or her trusted staff will personally work with the contractors at every step of the way.
Post-construction follow-up
Upon the completion of your project, a walk-through is done. A punch list is created at the end of the project to ensure that you are satisfied that everything is complete. Our cabinetry lines carry a one to five year warranty. We stand behind our quality workmanship on every project. We will follow-up with a client satisfaction survey after the work is completed.
